Meanwhile, our current batch of students are working hard for their NUS Harmonica Examination 2009, taking Grade 1 - 5. Wish them all the best for their examination. Their result will be posted when we get the result.

*Clap clap clap!* 2008 is coming to an end soon and our fellow TJ harmonics students who took the NUS harmonica examination all passed, most with flying colours! The results are as follow:

FAQ:

Q: What is TJHarmonics (TJH)?
A: TJharmonics is a harmonica ensemble formed in 2003, under the 'Gift of Music' programme and Taman Jurong CC. We open new courses regularly to promote harmonica music and also the gift of music.

Q: Where is that location? How can I reach there?
A: BLK 184 #01-79 Yung Sheng Road, Taman Jurong. It is the place where 'Meet-the-People' sessions are held at, the HDB flats which is opposite S11 foodcourt. Take MRT to Lakeside station. Take bus service no.98, alight at 5th stop.

Q: Can I join if I am older/younger than the age limit?
A: You may join. You can contact us for futher enquiry.

Q: What is the timing for the course.
A: Every Saturday, 7.00 PM to 8.00 PM

Q: How much do I have to pay for the course?
A: Basically, the course is FREE. You just have to buy your harmonica and the coursebook for the lesson.

Q: How many lessons are there in total?
A: This is an on-going course, students will continue their courses at intermediate level, and eventually join the performing group, you do not have to pay additional cost for the lessons, it's still free. :D

Q: What kind of events do TJH perform for.
A: We have regular performances during the 'Meet-the-people' sessions, especially during Chinese New Year, National Day and other festive seasons. We have also performed in Taman Jurong's National Day Celebration and many more.

Q: I do not have music background, can I still join?
A: Sure! This course is catered for young beginners who do not have music background.

We would like to congulate the above students who did well in the Harmonica Examination 2007. TJ Harmonics sent in 17 students and we have a 100% pass. The national passing rate in 90% with around 180 candidates.

Sharon is here again....

It has been long since the last time I posted.

Hmm....TJH is already 4 yrs old....

Time passes really fast, 'one blink eye', 4 years gone. All of us have grown up. Like for me, from a tud-tud primary school student, to now,a graduating Sec4 student.

These years were never easy for TJH. We had gone through the ups and downs, and we are now getting better and better, in all different areas.

Actually I'm really proud of us. The efforts we put in, the friendship we have built up among us, the way that we are committed to face challenges together. All these contributed to the succese we have now.

We have a new batch of K2 students coming in this November, which means that we have to do more work. x(
But it will never be good if we have nothing to do! Hahaz.

More events and performances will be coming up.

hello, I think I will be spending the whole morning of the monday morning to do edit and update this blog, or maybe even editing the blogskin. I don't know but i will make some changes to this blog tomorrow. Our lessons will resume next week and soon it will be the intake of new harmonica students.
